Stone sculpture - Environmental sculpture

Seattle artist John Hoge specializes in the design, fabrication and installation of custom projects in stone. His work includes sculpture, benches, fountains, relief carvings, environmental designs, memorials and architectural ornamentation. John's sculptures and installations are based on the naturally occurring characteristics of stone and other earth products. Through carving and polishing, he both reveals and enhances the shapes and lines of the stones. He often uses gradation of texture, from natural surfaces to highly finished areas, to highlight the intrinsic beauty of the stone.

John and his staff are skilled in both large- and small-scale work. They use hard stones that hold finishes and endure in any climate. Over the past 24 years they have designed, fabricated and installed projects for residences, schools, parks, public arts groups, private collections, communities and corporations. All work is fabricated in Seattle and can be shipped and installed worldwide.
